 Today we are going to read the next ten pages of Fahrenheit 451 and write sentences with the next two vocabulary words (Illuminate and Trajectory). Also, NOTE - we will not meet tomorrow but will meet on Thursday. Tomorrow I want you to read 33-42 and write a reading log. We will discuss these pages on Thursday. Tuesday - WRITING A SHORT STORY

                               WRITING A SHORT STORY: Outline = 25 points             Short Story = 100 points Every student will be responsible for writing one short story of 5-10 pages of length.  Each story must contain a theme and  in each student must be able to explain this to class.  It should be fictional, though it could contain some real events.  The story must have a protagonist, an antagonist, a dynamic character, a static character, conflict and all parts of plot—exposition, inciting event, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.  Furthermore the protagonist must be a round character who completely aligns him/herself with the three elements of characterization (check your notes).  The dynamic character must fit the three elements of believable change (check your notes).  You will be graded, partially o...

 Today, you will have time to work on your Study Guides.  This is also HW. I will give you 1/2 of the test tomorrow and 1/2 on Thursday.  FRIDAY we will start your short stories.

 Today, we will be taking a vocabulary quiz and then finishing "A Christmas Memory". HW: Begin studying for your UNIT TEST. I might have to move it up to Wednesday.

Thursday

 Today we will review vocabulary and then begin reading our last short story: "A Christmas Memory" (page 336).  HW: Study Vocabulary You UNIT FINAL will be next Thursday.

Wednesday
